Insurance

Speak to Dr Samantha Masley about adult or child clinical psychology, or a private Autism or ADHD assessment.

Using Your Health Insurance

Aire Valley Psychology works with clients covered by Aviva, AXA and Bupa, alongside those paying privately for adult and child clinical psychology and Autism and ADHD assessments.

Every policy is different, so before your first appointment it’s worth checking directly with your insurer what your plan covers, whether you need a referral or authorisation code first, and what excess or session limits might apply. Once you’ve confirmed those details, get in touch and the practice can talk you through how to proceed.

How It Works

Step 1:

Come to us directly to ensure we can accept you. If you contact your insurance first they will likely attempt to funnel you into a generic unspecialised high volume pathway. You can get a better fit by skipping the generic allocation and coming direct.

To be clear, we do not work with the unspecialised high volume impersonal companies so you will not find me this way.

Step 2:

Get an authorisation code from your insurance and provide this to us.

Step 3:

Start Clinical Psychology treatment and we will bill your insurance for the work.

Why Choose Aire Valley Psychology?

Dr Samantha Masley is a Chartered Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Edinburgh and over 20 years of experience across the NHS and private practice. The practice is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and works with a deliberately small number of clients so that care stays properly individualised, whether you’re paying privately or through insurance.

Paying Privately

If your insurer isn’t listed here, or your policy doesn’t cover the support you’re looking for, self-funded sessions are also available. See the fees page for current pricing.

Testimonials

"Sam, I can't thank you enough for getting me through these last couple of months. I've finally had a taste of the 'old me' back and I'm excited to work on what you've taught me"
"Thank you for helping me over the last few months. I'll miss our sessions but I'm feeling a lot more confident and positive about what I was struggling with"
"This is no sausage factory assessor, Samantha cares and gets to really know you."
"I felt instantly at ease with Samantha and Joe, they seem to take pride in their roles and work to properly understand you and your history."
"After having a combined Autism and ADHD assessment later in life with Samantha I feel like I know myself fully and can better design my life now."
"The NHS wouldn't assess me as I was working and in their eyes functioning slash coping. In the background I felt I was failing as I had struggled socially my whole life, not progressed at work due to various oversights on my part and I had had two huge burnouts that had undermined my confidence. I had also blown up multiple friendships and felt very low in myself. I decided to pay for a private assessment to figure myself out. It was amazing. Samantha took the time to hear my story and helped me construct a new narrative. I learned to forgive myself and most importantly how to take care of myself. My assessment was 6 months ago and I am going from strength to strength. Thank you Samantha."
